Pros and cons of Roamer-Goodbye Roaming &Cheap international calls app for iPhone and iPad

Roamer-Goodbye Roaming &Cheap international calls app good for

If you travel arround the World it will help you to save money, i test it from India (Tamil Nadu) and it works very fine
I had a lot of fun with this small nice proggy, and have saved aLOOOT of BUUUCKS Recommend to use while travel around the globe
I am traveling for business 200 days out of a year and this app is great as it allows me to get business call from my desk to cell phone abroad wherever I am regardless if I have hi speed access or not. Saves me a bunch, but more importantly clients can reach me even in countries where there is no such thing as hi speed internet. Love it!
Pros: works as advertised. Allows to save money with local sim cards without losing phone number. Interesting concept, and a lot of effort has been put to make app user friendly. Cons: 50% of the reason of keeping your number is calls, the other 50% is text. Texts dont work, even though Roamer say that is not their fault, its still a limitation. There must be a way. Maybe the key is not in text forwarding directly to the phone but rerouting? Text goes to you, and then you resend it to new phone number? Another big problem is it Requires data connection to make a call through the service. What if the local SIM card bought doesnt have a data connection and theres no wifi available? Finally Wifi call rates are too high. Tons of programs exist using wifi calls and theyre FREE. I understand and accept the charges when using network, but I shouldnt have to pay when using Roamer through wifi (and I dont. I just switch to another free app). You want me to use your app and include into my daily routine as much as possible. Therefore, remove the wifi calling fees, and you spread your brand that way.

Some bad moments

This app is a complete rip-off. There are three different ways you will have your money stolen. First, Apple takes 30% of all in-app purchases straight off the top, so your $10.99 top-up is immediatly reduced to $7.69. Second, they will quote you a per minutes rate before your call and then charge you more. The 1min 55sec call I just made was quoted at a rate of 9.2c/min but I was charged 25.5 cents for a call that should have been less than 18. Third, when they actually subtract the amount from your remaining balance they will again charge you more. The 18 cent call, that turned into a 25.5 cent call, ended up costing 85 cents, as that was the actual amount subtracted from my account.
This app had started to earn my trust. Yes, it is pricey. However, the perks somewhat outweighed the costs. However, the tech behind the app has declined SIGNIFICANTLY in recent months. Im afraid to ever update the app, because now all of my calls consistently drop (even if I have enough balance) and thats even if I ever get a call-back from Roamer when trying to make an outgoing call. What has happened to the reliability? Unbelievably disappointing. I have to restart my phone and/or the app at least 5-10 times to get a call-back now. Frustrating beyond belief for a businessman who used to put trust in the app.
I used to love this but I found its quality declined and became unusable for me
This app sounds helpful but I cant get past the first screen...it crashes...every time!!!
Unless you read Arabic, dont bother installing this ap. It installs in Arabic and has no instructions on how to change it to English. Very poor attempt at language detection.
When I tried to verify a sim card it displays a message: "local sim required: sim: cs, location: rs", obiviously a bug, cs is old iso code for serbia and montenegro, rs is iso code for serbia, I cant use the app because of that problem.
